TMD acted as Contract Administrator, Quantity Surveyor and Architect for the refurbishment of the Owners and Trainers Bar & Lounge area at Kempton Park.

The works included demolition of an existing storeroom and former bar, structural alterations to create space and enable direct access to the Parade Ring, introduction of glass bi-fold doors leading onto a new extended balcony, creation of new bar area, redecoration and the replacement of doors and flooring throughout, all within a strict client budget.

As race meetings continued to take place during the works, the project required close liaison with the Racecourse to ensure that horses and visitors were unaffected.

The project won a RCA Showcase Award in 2014.
