TMD was appointed by UK Commercial Properties Ltd as the fund’s monitoring surveyor for the demolition of an existing Waitrose store and redevelopment to create a new Sainsbury’s store. Substantial works also had to be undertaken to the Local Authority’s car park to the rear of the site.

TMD reviewed the developer’s proposals and agreed the landlord’s shell specification. Regular inspections were undertaken to review the quality of the construction, actual progress against programme and compliance with the specification.

The works were successfully completed on programme and included an additional extension to create an extended storage and service yard area.
